Envision a future where under-utilized spaces in Banff’s heart are revitalized into pedestrian-focused gathering places. By connecting with existing heritage area pathways, and pedestrian bridges, Banff can encourage deeper connection and exploration, both in town and into Banff National Park.
Inspired by the opportunity to create more room for affordable housing, along with community spaces for the arts and recreation. All the while, driven by the chance to offer hundreds of heated parking spaces, below the surface and out of sight.
Having been considered by numerous businesses, residents, and organizations locally for some time, including those as diverse as the Eleanor Luxton Historical Foundation and Pursuit, it is time to harness this concept towards action.

Heated, underground parking with EV charging stations means less surface lots and more opportunity for visitors to park-and- explore as pedestrians year-round.

By making better use of the space Banff has and living within its limits, 97% of Banff National Park’s wilderness remains untouched.
